The Funkanimal Brothers Are Back In Town!

Nach zahlreichen Gigs in Deutschland und der Schweiz zusammen mit Toni L und dem Funkanimal gibt es die Jungs von Safarisounds nun mit neuer Show und straight-intrumental bei ausgewählten Veranstaltungen zu sehen. Die Safari-pur-Show entspringt der aktuellen Arbeit an neuem Material im Studio sowie einer mehrwöchigen Session in einem einsamen Haus in den Vogesen vor einer Crowd aus Rindviechern. Zeit für eine Rückbesinnung auf eine alte Tugend der Heidelberger Band, die seit nunmehr zehn Jahren gemeinsam Musik macht: Instrumental-Funk direkt auf den Arsch.

Safarisounds once was a young Heidelberg-based jazz-trio. They dropped their first release at the age of (sweet) sixteen. As other players joined the band, they startet exploring the world of funk&soul and overtime created their very own interpretation of this musical style. After releasing their second album "from easy jazz to soulfunk" in 2002, they played many club gigs and festivals in germany before they started a collaboration with German true-school Hip Hop padre Toni L. Together they recorded "Funkanimal", co-produced by David Moufang aka. move d and released in 2007. After touring with the funkanimal, they're now working on new material in Heidelberg while still playing gigs, both with Toni L and with their own show.
